Verizon Lifeline Program

Verizon offers a reduced rate on residential telephone service. The service is LifeLine. If you are income-eligible for any of the following benefits you can receive this reduced rate.

  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
  • Food Stamps
  • Home Relief
  • Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Medicaid
  • Veteran's Disability Pension (non-service related disability)
  • Veteran's Surviving Spouse Pension ( non-service related disability)

LifeLine Service may save you over $100 a year on your phone bill.

There are two types of LifeLine:

  • Basic LifeLine Service - saves you $9.10 each month. You pay only $1.00 a month, and you pay for each outgoing call you make.

  • Flat Rate LifeLine Service - saves you $8.10 a month on your phone bill. This includes calls made to anywhere in your Flat Rate local calling area.

If you don't have a phone now you may get new service installed for as little as $10, a savings of $75, and you may even pay the $10 link up charge on a 12 month installment plan.

If you have been disconnected for lack of payment, Verizon is willing to work with you to have your phone service restored.  To print an application click here (Spanish Version) (Russian Version) (Korean Version) (Chinese Version), to receive an application by mail or for more information about the Verizon LifeLine Program, please call 1-800-799-6874.  If you have difficulty in obtaining Lifeline contact PULP
